Ask, What I Shall Do For Thee

20 May 2016

I was recently inspired while reading the story of Solomon in II Chronicles 1. God asked Solomon in a dream to, “Ask, What I Shall Give Thee”. Solomon’s motive an objectives were right when he asked for wisdom and knowledge because God answered by giving him what he asked for. But God also did the exceeding, abundant, above, all Solomon could ask or think by giving him wealth, fame, and peace with his enemies. What stirred me is that this question was being asked to Solomon but also showing that God wanted to do the same for us. He is not a respecter of persons. It is the will of God for you to be in good health and to prosper. He simply wants you to ask. This means an action must occur on our part when the question is presented and made alive to you. The brothers on the Emaus road asked Jesus to join them for the evening and in that moment they realized who was walking and talking to them on their journey. It was only after they asked, that they saw the supernatural. It was only after the prophet asked that he saw the creation of  squirrels. It was only after Hattie Wright asked that she saw her 2 sons saved. I encourage you to answer God in this question of “Ask, What I Shall Do Unto Theee”. In answering the question, ask abundantly, because God wants to do something special for you.

E-62  I believe that the church of the living God is moving into a sphere now that’s going to shake the whole world. That’s the first time it’s been since the days of Jesus of Nazareth to a human being. “Ask anything that you will, and it shall be given unto you, anything you desire.” Don’t you see the words of Jesus Christ being fulfilled? Oh, it’s going to come to pass pretty soon. I’m looking for it to happen in this meeting. I’m wanting it to happen now, that that anointing will strike the whole church of the living God, and she’ll rise to her feet like a mighty marching army. The sick will be healed by a word; the blind will see; the deaf will hear; the dead will be raised up; and the power of God will shake the world with the church of the living God. We’re in the process of it now. I believe it’s soon coming to pass. I believe it will be just exactly that way. I believe it’s going to strike the church of God soon, and it’s going to start a revival that’ll shake the world. I believe it.

Recently I read the following:

55-0118 – This Great Warrior, David
Let me drop this on the side. Don’t think I’m excited; I’m not. Look, let me drop this on the side. They who had spent… How many here is justified by faith, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ? Every one of you put your hands up is justified by faith. Is that right? The Scripture said, “Those who he has called, he has justified; and those who he has justified, he hath glorified.” Amen. In the Presence of Almighty God your name’s indelibly wrote with the Blood of Jesus Christ, glorified in His Presence, positionally placed here on earth for a purpose, to do the will of God. You see your position, Christian?

Rev. William Marrion Branham

I was moved by the word ‘indelibly’ in this statement. It generated a need for me to refer to the dictionary. There I discovered that indelible means making a mark with a pen that cannot be removed or forgotten. Wow! My name is written in the Lamb’s book of life and it cannot be removed. It is not written in ink, but it is written with the purchasing power of the blood of Jesus Christ.  No matter what we are currently doing, have done, or will do, our names cannot be erased. That takes a true revelation to really grasp that thought. When I reflect on how much I am loved by God, I only want to live for Him and serve Him more. I do not want to frustrate such grace.

Romans 8:30

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

No Trespassing

25 July 2014

Ezekiel 44:2
Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.

After reading my this scripture I was inspired to post a “no trespassing” sign for Satan and his demons. My heart, my body, my family, and everything that belongs to me is off limits to the enemy. I am encouraged to know just as God shut the door for Noah’s ark, He is also closed the door to my heart since I invited Him in. No one and nothing can enter through the gate because the Lord Himself has entered. Satan may try to take residence, but use your God given right to evict Him.

Let the devil say, “Aw, don’t you do it; don’t you do it.” That’s that old, nasty porter at the door. “Don’t you believe in that.” Walk right on in; it’s yours. You got a pass. You got an abstract deed on the place. If sickness dwells in there, you got a abstract deed. If you went home tonight, and what if there’s an enemy setting in your house. And the enemy said, “Now, wait a minute, this house is built for human being. It’s mine just as much as it is your home. I’m just as much human as you are.”
You walk right down to the courts, and get your abstract deed, and show him, “This is my property; it belongs to me.”
“Well,” he said, “Yes, but I’m as much human as you are.”
If he won’t listen, you can go get the law, and the law will throw him out. When you serve warning on the devil, that he’s got his nasty self camped on God’s property… Whew. Yes. If he don’t want to get out, just call on the authorities of heaven, God’s law Agent, the Holy Ghost. He will throw him out. Yes, sir, it’s your property. Every Divine promise in the Bible belongs to every Christian.

Your Most Powerful Weapon

12 June 2014

James 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Recently we looked back over something we had implemented at our church. Years ago we started a 7am prayer service on Sunday mornings. We attempted to determine how many years had passed since we started this prayer service and realized that 7 years had passed and we were still faithfully attending this prayer service. It is a fact that “prayer changes things”. I believe the most important thing that has changed is our individual relationships with Jesus Christ.  Satan attacks this area with every believer, but it is here where we must continue to develop good habits. All hell begins to shake when a believer hits their knees.

So therefore that’s the reason, said, “The prayer of faith shall save the sick,” that individual prayer. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Oh, if you only knew, that in your hand Christ gave us the authority with His Name by being Christians, the most powerful weapon the world has ever known: Prayer, it even changes everything. It’ll change the mind of God. It did do it. After death was pronounced to a man, he prayed; God told the prophet, “Go back and tell him I heard him.” See there, prayer, hold on…

Keep praying saints, the Lord is nigh. We might as well use our most powerful weapon on the enemy.

True Commitment

21 March 2014

We recently read a scripture in our Wednesday evening bible study that absolutely spoke to my heart. The children of Israel made the decision to request a king, but in doing so, they were rejecting God as their king. Samuel took this rejection personally and had to be encouraged by God as they were not rejecting Samuel, but they were rejecting God. After Samuel rehearsed this decision with the children of Israel, he calls them all together once again in I Samuel chapter 12 to prove that their rejection caused displeasure. He proved it by calling down thunder and rain during the harvest season. This alone was proof to the people that God was displeased. When Israel was convinced that they were out of God’s will, Samuel assured them that God would not forsake His people. Secondly he expressed that as a servant of the Lord he would be committed to keep praying and teaching the people of the Lord.

I Samuel 12:22-23
22 For the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the Lord to make you his people.
23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

What a statement! Samuel is truly displaying the character of God in his approach to the people. I find it true in my life that God is probably displeased with me quite often. How many times have I missed His leading or instruction. I have to express my appreciation for His unmerited grace and favor. I am convinced, that there is nothing that I can do to ever earn His grace, but there are many things I choose not to do, so that I may not frustrate the grace that has been given to me.

Samuel had a right to be upset with the choice of the people, just as God could have forsaken them after being rejected by them. God’s love and commitment was demonstrated in those few words. As a pastor, I can understand how Samuel is feeling, but I am challenged to forfeit every right and to simply commit to praying and teaching everyone I can.

Groaning within ourselves

5 February 2014

Romans 8:22-23
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

What a promise that awaits every believer. We join nature in longing to see the manifestations of the sons of God. Lately, we were led to speak on a few messages which encourages the believers to recognize our positions as sons and daughters of God. Satan has tried to stumble us, but the more we meditate on what God’s word says about us, the more we believe it. I feel there is a true groaning within, to be all that God has called us to be. What Adam lost in the beginning, Christ has come to restore it back. Be strengthened as you press into God’s fullness.

That’s the thing that God will do to His sons here on earth someday. He will call you aside, Church, if you’ll only obey Him and stay on the Word and believe it. And He will place into the Church, before the coming of Jesus Christ… He will place into the Church… All the powers that Christ had in Him will be in the Church. All that God was, He poured into Jesus; all that Jesus was, He pours into the Church. God wanting His work done, He sent it into His Son; the Son wanting the work done, sent it into the Church. “At that day you’ll know that I’m in the Father, the Father in Me, and I in you, and you in Me.” At that day, because the same power of God, was in Jehovah God, rested in Jesus Christ. The same power that rested in Jesus Christ, rests in the placed sons in the body of Christ.

Keep Pressing On

24 December 2013

Recently I read the following scripture and was truly encouraged soI thought I would share it with you.

Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

It may seem you have been waiting for quite some time to see a promise fulfilled in your life. I encourage you as you read this post, keep pressing on. Remember, God is not slack concerning any of His promises. If God said it, you can believe it. Keep confessing God’s word over your circumstance and watch it come to pass. The right mental attitude towards the promise, will always bring to pass.

29-3    He stands there, commands His army like a great Captain. Like Moses on the mountain with his hands up, and Israel was fighting, cutting their way through; and he stood with his hands up. He stood with his hands up until the sun went down; they had to hold his hands up. That was Moses; he was a type of Christ. To be sure that His hands stay up, His hands was nailed up on the cross. Hallelujah. And He climbed the ramparts of glory today with His bloody garments before God at the right hand of His Majesty there. And the battle to every soldier will cut his way through (I don’t care what takes place) with the Word of God, he will cut hisself to freedom. Amen.
